Ms Gina Rosas Gonzáles was awarded the Sponsorship prize of the Bakers’ Guild Berlin during the 49th scientific information seminar of the Berlin-Brandenburg Society for Cereal Research (Berlin-Brandenburgische Gesellschaft für Getreideforschung) in Berlin.
She receives the prize for her bachelor’s thesis entitled “Adsorption study on the sensory improvement of a flavor-enhancing potato extract” (“Adsorptionsuntersuchung zur sensorischen Verbesserung eines geschmacksverstärkenden Kartoffelextraktes”), written as part of her work at Emsland Group and the Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin.
Prof. Dr. Springer from the food technology faculty was her supervisor at the university. In Emlichheim, Ms Rosas Gonzáles was supervised by Dr. Woll, project manager F&E/Innovation.
Ms Rosas Gonzáles was born in Ecuador in 1991. She completed her school education there with the university entrance certificate (Abitur) and then travelled to Germany for a year to improve her German language skills. She decided to stay and in 2013 began her studies in food technology at the Beuth University of Applied Sciences Berlin, graduating in 2019 with a Master of Science degree.
