Food ingredients Asia is recognized as one of the most important food ingredients events, and not just in Asia. With around 650 international exhibitors and over 15,000 visitors, this year’s event in Jakarta, Indonesia has again attracted a lot of attention.
Of course, Emsland Group was once again among the exhibitors. The Emsland Group booth was located next to the main conference room and the many visitors were able to experience various product highlights.
With the new Empro® E 86 and Empro® E86 HV, the Emsland experts presented a pea-based vegetable protein in Jakarta. The products can be used as meat alternatives and also offer functional properties in the manufacture of protein-containing cereals and dry textured vegetable proteins.
The introduction to the new Emden® ET 50 in the area of confectionery, which is mostly used in wine gums and chewy sweets, was another highlight. Mainly aspects relating to gelatine-free, low dosage and fat reduction were of interest. Furthermore Emden® ET 50 is a real alternative in terms of Halal-requirements.
A big topic this year also was the segment snacks. The Emsland Group presented certain new developments within this area, and visitors showed huge interest of these products. Emsland Group’s expansion of potato flake production was also much appreciated by visitors of the snack industry.
Emden® TVH 15, a product based on tapioca, was also showcased. It is used in dairy products due to its improved viscosity and better mouth feel.
In addition to product solutions for trends like clean label, gluten-free and fiber enhancements, Emsland Group has also addressed issues like sustainability, acrylamide reduction, natural ingredients, non-GMO and vegan trends in its product portfolio.
All things considered, the experts from Emsland Group were very satisfied with visitor feedback and results from the talks held there. That’s one reason why Emsland has already reserved booth space at the next FiAsia.
