Management report on the state of the company
Gerrit-Jan Wesselink, CEO of the Emsland Group, welcomed those present and informed them about the current state of the company. Under the motto “Facing the Reality”, he spoke openly about the challenges and successes of the past year:
• Potato volumes lost: despite the massive competition for potatoes, the raw material situation remains largely stable. However, it continues to pose a challenge.
• Good business results and equity development: The past financial year ended successfully. The workforce also played its part in this.
• Investments: Investments are being made in existing and new facilities in order to continue to future-proof the company.
Wesselink emphasized that the Emsland Group remains a fundamentally healthy and financially strong company, supported by a motivated team, despite a wide range of challenges.
As a thank you for the successful year, all employees received Bluetooth speakers as a gift. In addition, a special bonus was announced for all colleagues.
Report from the plant management
Martin ter Glane, Plant Manager Emlichheim, and André Brinkman, Head of Operations Food, presented the production volumes and provided information on current investments and projects affecting Emsland-Stärke GmbH and Emsland Food GmbH in Emlichheim.
