Health Day at the Emlichheim Plant
On Thursday, July 25, a Health Day was held at the Emsland Group’s Emlichheim plant, which focused entirely on occupational health and safety. Numerous campaigns and activities offered employees the opportunity to obtain comprehensive information about various health and safety aspects and to become active themselves.
Diverse Activities for More Health and Safety
The Health Day was characterized by a series of exciting and instructive activities. The Lingen road safety organization was on site with a crash simulator that impressively demonstrated the dangers and effects of a car accident. The bobby car race with intoxicated goggles provided a lot of fun and at the same time illustrated the impairment caused by alcohol in road traffic. The company Ronell carried out hearing tests, while the AOK offered several health checks: a back check with measurement of the back muscles, a measurement of hand strength and a quick fitness test. These tests gave the employees valuable insights into their physical fitness and health.
The Emlichheim volunteer fire department also took part with practical fire extinguishing exercises, where participants were able to practise using fire extinguishers. Information stands on first aid, supervised by emergency rescuers and the German Red Cross (DRK), rounded off the offer and provided important knowledge for emergencies. In addition to the wide range of activities, the focus was also on healthy eating. The plant canteen offered healthy snacks, which were very popular with colleagues and showed that healthy eating can also be delicious.
Positive Feedback and Thanks to Everyone Involved
The Health Day was very well received by Emsland Group employees. The various offers met with great interest and were actively used. A big thank you goes to all the companies and organizations that made this day possible. Their commitment contributed significantly to the success of the event and provided employees with valuable impulses for more safety and health in the workplace.
We are already looking forward to the next Health Day and hope to welcome numerous participants again!
